Toronto Jr. Canadiens- Same old Canadiens fielding a strong team. They finished number one last year, winning the Ontario Hockey Federation finals as well. They lost to the Marlies in the quarterfinals, their first regulation loss. Definitely favored for number one.
Toronto Marlies- Strong team, with tons of potential. Need to strengthen offense, defense relatively strong.
Toronto Red Wings -Could be a one player show. With Laidlaw missing in the finals they couldn’t mount any offense against Compuware. Strong goaltending, the jury is still out on defense.
Markham Majors- Didn’t seem to improve like the other teams over the summer.
Toronto Young Nationals- Seem to be a two person show. Between Skinner and Seguin that is the team no other players really stand out.
Mississauga Reps (formerly IceDogs)- A rough team, that could be a contender for the top. They challenged the almost beat the Jr. Candiens, but lost 3-2 when they got into penalty trouble.
North York Rangers- Show some promise, looks as though they will be competative. However they certainly will be no challenge for the top teams.
Mississauga Senators- They could fair well, however they are a small team and may lack the size to compete with the top teams.
Toronto Titans (formerly Wexford Raiders)- New name same old reputation, they strengthened their lineup with some AA players. Don’t expect them to be in the top.
Don Mills Flyers- Going to be this year’s bottom feeder. Everybody will be getting the free two points.
