Well, with all the gossip that flew around the rinks over the past year about who was going number one, whether it was a weak draft year, or even who was going NCAA. The dust has settled. It is too early to comment on whether it was a weak year or not as only time will tell. Ryan O’Reilly (No.1 selection) is the top scorer of the 1991’s playing in the Ontario Hockey League followed by Ryan Ellis (Rd 2 No.2 selection). These two players sit 32 and 33 in top scorers in the Ontario Hockey League.
It is important to note that Taylor Hall is No. 5 in OPJHL top scorers. In three years the cream will have risen to the top and it will become clear if this was in fact a weak draft year.
