A Bertuzziesq Mugging in the OHL.

Cal Clutterbuck lays a hit on Scott Aarssan. Some contend that this was a Check From Behind. A two minute minor was assessed for cross-checking. Scott Aarssan sustained an injury, possibly a separated shoulder. You be the judge the video is posted on Youtube and available below:

In response to the hit Jordan Shine attempts to make even with Cal Clutterbuck by mugging him. Jordan Shine ends up receiving a penalty for Instigator and a Major and Game Misconduct for fighting. The league then hands Jordan Shine a 5 game suspension. The video is posted below:

Canadian Hockey News looks at this incident and wonder if had a Major and Game Misconduct or Minor and Game Misconduct been assessed in the first place would this have taken place. In an effort to increase entertainment value have we disregarded player safety? Does Hockey Canada have it right with regards to injuries and penalties?

 Many sources contain that the game was chippy. The referees for that game were Peter Kostyk and Darren Price.
