Player seriously injured in car accident.

A player in the GMHL has be involved in a serious accident. Garrett Hamel, captain of the South Muskoka sheild was injured in a serious car accident. Sources report that he is in serious condition, but stable. He is expect to make a full recovery. The Sheild and Allouette game was cancelled as a result. All the staff at Canadian Hockey News are praying for the Hamel family and Garrett that he may make a full recover.

On behalf of the GMHL, League President Bob Russell would like to send best wishes and a speedy recovery for Garrett Hamel and family. Garrett Hamel is a member of the South Muskoka Shield and was involved in a serious car accident yesterday.

The game scheduled for tonight between South Muskoka and West Nipissing has been cancelled.
