Hockey Canada is Not-For-Profit!?!?!

In a semi annual report available on the Hockey Canada website they pass a motion that read as follows:

3.1.2 Growth Fund
MOTION: To transfer, as per our currently policy, the annual surplus of $3.282 Million to the Growth
Fund, with $3 million transferred immediately and the balance at the end of the fiscal
year.

Using the picture above we can estimate what Hockey Canada’s budget looks like. Assuming that the surplus slice of the “pie” account for 10% and it is said to be $3,282,000. Then Hockey Canada’s budget is closer to 10x that. Approximatly $32,820,000! Wow! Alot considering there are only 551,655 players registered.
