GMHL is expanding!

The Greater Metro Junior Hockey League has completed its inaugural season. The GMHL champions are the Bradford Rattlers as well as the National Junior Hockey Alliance Champions. It has just been confirmed on the GMHL Forum that the GMHL has accepted another team into their league. This new team is from Quebec. The new team is the  TEMISCAMING ROYALS. It is believed that the GMHL would like to expand large enough to offer two conferences North and South. This would reduce travel expenses and increase rivalries, while also offering student to pursue academic goals as this leagues main purpose is to develop players to play in the NCAA.

Here is the current look of the GMHL:

Inaugural Season Member Clubs
Bradford Rattlers
Nippising Allouettes
South Muskoka Shield
King Wild
Deseronto Thunder
Toronto Canada Moose
Richmond Hill Rams

New for 2007/2008
Témiscaming Royals
Espanola Kings

Canadian Hockey News will be compiling the tryout information and posting it on its website.
