Islanders to hold pre-season training camp in Sudbury

The Manitoulin Islanders Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club has announced plans to hold
a spring training camp in the Sudbury region May 5 to 6 at the Countryside
Arena.

The Islanders, members of the Northern Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey League, are
inviting players who will be of the ages of 16 to 20 for the 2007-2008
hockey season. The two sessions will be 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 7
to 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The camp will be run under the direction of coach-general manager Barry
Parsons, the NOJHL’s second team all-star coach for the past season and
assistant coach/general manager Eldon Cheechoo. Players are encouraged to
register early due to space limitations. Those interested in participating will pay $100 for the two sessions, which
will include a training camp sweater. Cheques can be made payable to theManitoulin Islanders hockey club to the above address.
Players can register prior to the start of the Saturday camp by faxing or
e-mailing a downloadable registration form found at the team’s website
(www.manitoulinislanders.net) or contacting the team at the above phone/fax
numbers.Players are required in some cases to bring an NOHA permission to skate form
with them to the training camp.
